Ernestine Ygnacio-De Soto PKG

Through my feature piece on Ernestine Ygnacio-De Soto as seen in my Writing Examples section, I was able to craft together a piece for the broadcast shows at News Channel 3-12.

This story ran in the A block of every show on the day of the parade, and was tracked by a fellow co-worker with an on-air presence. I shot, wrote, edited and produced this entire package.

Mockumentary

Created as a final project for my Screenplay Writing class (ISLA 340) in March of 2020, "Cal Poly Majors – A Mockumentary Film" tunes in to the lives of Cal Poly students and their majors – based solely off stereotypes.

I created, filmed, directed, edited and produced this nine-minute long mockumentary using a 4K camera and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Santa Barbara County reflects on 15th anniversary of 2008 Montecito Tea Fire PKG

Also seen in my Writing Examples section, I produced this piece for online and the broadcast shows at News Channel 3-12.

This was a top story for the day, and I wrote, filmed, directed, edited and produced this story using an iPhone camera and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Tatted

This video, also available on the "Tatted" website located in my Multimedia Projects folder, is a video package humorously presenting a juxtaposition in opinions on tattoos from my dad and a local tattoo artist.

I created, filmed, directed, edited and produced this not-so-traditional broadcast style package using a 4K camera, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Local News Wrap

Attached below is one of my pre-recorded audio packages I created during my time as lead anchor for Cal Poly's radio station: KCPR 91.3 FM. For this story, I interviewed the owners of a local restaurant, Hoagies, and reported on how they were able to open a new location during the trivial times of COVID-19. This wrap aired in fall of 2020, and I wrote, recorded, edited and produced the clip for broadcast radio.

KCPR Reel

For my KCPR Reel, I edited together three stories that I recorded during a live morning news show when I worked as lead anchor and producer for the radio station. These stories aired in spring of 2021.

Sports Wrap

Attached below is another one of my pre-recorded audio packages for KCPR 91.3 FM. I interviewed and reported on a Cal Poly graduate, Patrick Madden, who was the first alum to be drafted to a Major League Rugby team straight from the university. This wrap aired in winter of 2021, and I wrote, recorded, edited and produced the clip for broadcast radio.
